Jack Phillips picked up both the supporters player of the season and the manager’s player of the season at the Prescot Cables award evening.
Phillips, who has been in outstanding form all season was the clubs top goalscorer with 11 goals, and fully deserved the awards with his performances throughout the season.
The 21 year old joined Cables at the start of the season after previously playing for Burscough, and quickly became a key part of Neil Prince’s side, producing stand out displays including a winner against Lancaster City, and a brace against Farsley towards the end of the season.
Phillips received a “unanimous decision” off the fans for the player of the season, and manager Neil Prince was also full of praise for the midfielder.
Prince said “As well as his ability it’s his work rate and attitude that go with it. He has been a pleasure to coach and as has been said numerous times – he’s got a great career ahead of him if he believes in himself.”
